Our production of A Little Night Music has sadly been postponed until later in the year due to some technical issues. We will keep everyone posted as to the new dates and venue as soon as we have them. In the meantime we are working on producing a number of fundraising events for the near future. There will be Quiz Night featuring some wonderful prizes and also a number of concerts performed by members of the company.
Please keep ahead and watch out for further details.

Well it has been a while since my last post, sorry for that. Grand Hotel has been and gone, an amazing production that audiences and theatre staff alike all said was excellent.
We are now turning our attention to the next season and at the moment selecting the next main house production. The theatre has been booked and we are just waiting for confirmation of the rights to the next show before I can make it public.
This again will be at the Gulbenkian Theatre in Canterbury in September 2017. Rehearsals will begin in March after our AGM and auditions will be held in April for parts, once again this will be a small company production featuring around 15 actors with some playing double roles.
More information on this in the coming weeks.

It has been a while but thought it was about time to start and blog about the production.
Tickets are now on sale through the Gulbenkian box office.
Rehearsals are going well and the show is coming together and looking good, I have an amazing cast who are all working hard to pull the show together.
i hope that as many as possible will come along to see this show which is rarely seen and deserves to be re discovered which is what Operama is all about.
AuditionsPosted by Stephen Cresswell Sun, April 24, 2016 16:20
Just wanted to say that our first rehearsal after the break will be on the 16th May at the Kendall Hall in Canterbury. This will be a rehearsal for anyone wishing to audition for one of the many solo singing parts in this amazing show.
This is an open rehearsal so please feel free to bring along anyone you think may be interested in being in the show. There are a number of male solo parts that we need to fill as well as general chorus.
I have posted on the website www.operama.co.uk teh planned rehearsal schedule for the show so please take a look at this.
I look forward to seeing everyone on the 16th May.

There will be an announcement in the next few days about the forthcoming main production for Operama. This is exciting stuff and I am finding it very hard to keep it to myself but believe me when I say it is worth waiting for.
